Single, divorced Brit male moving US to UK?
I belong to the American Expat board, so I thought I'd look around here. Very interesting -- same issues in reverse!
I joined the amexpat board because I was engaged to a Brit in Kent. I'd moved half my things over and was applying for my Fiancee's Visa when he got cold feet. Back to Square One. I still love British men and have renewed my search for another one.
It's such a pain doing the long distance dating thing, so I thought I'd try to find a Brit who was already here, but moving back in the near future. Maybe your company assignment was up or something. My ex raised the standard very high -- be forewarned!
So please look for my profile at www.match.com or www.loveandfriends.com under this same user name and, if you haven't been frightened off by my stringent requirements :scared: (or choked to death laughing while drinking your Tetley) send me an email.
(Or tell your British mates in the UK to have a look) Thanks!

However, if this is the way you want to go, you may want to check out meetup.com. Despite the name, it's not a singles club or a place to hook up in the romantic sense. There's probably a British Expats group in your area. Please check.
Me, I'm a Brit happily married to an American (3 years and counting) ...

Sponge?
Very interesting. I'm sure when you told people you were moving to the US and/or marrying an American, they thought the same thing about you.

You could say I'm more like a funnel than a sponge
