Since We Won't be Traveling to the UK this Summer
I decided to create a little piece of the UK here in North America.
I wasn't aiming for Haute cuisine, more Transport-caf and I think I nailed it.
And yes, that is a fried slice

Nice, looks good. Great to see a good distance between the egg and beans - using the sausage as a breakwater.

Not bad at all. I have been known to make something similar myself for breakfast on the weekend, but without the black pudding (which I love, but refuse to lay through the nose for), and with "country ham" rather than bacon, and slices of sausage rather than links.

We aren't going either, wedding postponed until 2021. Breakfast looks great, except I don't like baked beans (too sweet). I'll take some fried potatoes please.

Lovely, Replace the fried bread with potato scone and ditch the tomato and we have a winner. And it's such a pity I can't get square sausage in Cayman

Bacon, mushroom, tattie scones, black pudding, square sausage or links, fried egg.....and dont forget the haggis. And a cuppa char with Tetley.

If you think British baked beans are too sweet, stay away from American ones, which seem to have been made with equal parts of tomato sauce and treacle!

FWIW Bush's baked beans have 12g/130g serving, and Bush's country style beans have 14g/serving! Which is consistent with how they taste to me.

Dunno know about how sweet beans are but IMHO neither beans or tomatoes have any place on a fry up😃
