Here's the recipe:

http://www.greatbritishkitchen.co.uk...epherdspie.htm

(I always use ground beef (mince).

There is a conversion chart to US measurements elsewhere on the website....it's definitely worth a look as there are some lovely ideas on it.....why not try making a trifle?

LOL Brige! Cottage pie recipe supplied in the Lounge.

I'd love to make Shepherd's Pie but I can't get hold of any ground lamb, could always grind it myself though I guess...

Cool thanks I'll take a look Will have to renew our membership but can still go in and browse with old card.

We got a vacuum sealer a little while back so should be all good with buying the larger quantities

BTW I totally endorse/recommend vacuum sealers... I watched the infommercial a few times then saw that Sears had their own brand for $30 cheaper with all the same features and had to get it.

Ground beef lasts for ever and even lettuce (romaine) lasts a couple of weeks

Have to tell you all...I found a brand of cheddar cheese in my local Super Walmart,it's 'Cabot' from Vermont,it's the closest to strong English Cheddar I've tasted over here,it's really good!,the price is good as well,$150 for 8oz..hope you give it a try,and let me know what you think....Sophia
