sign written vehicles

I have noticed that there is not many vans which are sign written, seen a few but no where like back in the uk.is there a reason for this like high insurance premiums or you need a permit?

Not sure that I agree with you - most of the businesses round here seem to have some kind of signage on their vehicles - not all of them as elaborate as this but it certainly isn't uncommon ...

Seems to me that most of what would be small van users in the UK are pick up truck users here (small builders / plumbers etc).

I really dont see many vans on the road at all compared to the UK.

I'm just back from 3 weeks in Florida in my sign written pick-up truck....
As Nutek says, vans are rare - pick ups are the small commercial vehicle of choice and the company owned ones tend to have a simple sign on the doors and maybe the tailgate.
However, a lot will be owned by the driver and used for work... Obviously they wont want to have them sign written.

It's fairly common in this area to have a giant magnetic 'sticker' with the company name on it, than it is to pay for the truck or van to be painted. Alot of personal vehicles are used as work vehicles, so using the magnet allows the worker to take the magnet off the truck when he/she leaves work.
