Just before my mum died a couple of years back she was admitted into one hospital, transfered to another hospital, spend 4 days in intensive care and underwent 2 major surgeries. I remember saying to my husband 'thank God she didn't die here like that'. I could not imagine my dad having to deal with the financial side of that just after having lost his wife and having to pay for a funeral.
