It is....but not quite up to Nordstrom or Saks...but I suppose that could differ from mall to mall. Although I noticed at the weekend our local NM store is undergoing a facelift.

The last time I was at Neiman Marcus was about 30 years ago and the prices were so high that I never returned. From their web site, it appears that they still very upscale well above the products I see in Nordstom. In my area Neiman Marcus is a speciality upscale store less than 1/4th the size of Nordstom.

I'm just looking for clothes. I'm looking for really good quality summer wear as I live in the West Indies.

So, light shirts, jeans. No jumpers

Guayaberas? Cuban wedding shirts?

I want a few of those as well to go with my straw Panama.

I had to Google 'Guayaberas'... hmm not sure if they are quite my style.

As for the Panama hat... maybe in 30 years time

There's a shop in Dolphin Mall called "Guayabera World"... guess what they sell?

You probably want to go to Dolphin and International Mall (they are literally right next to each other) - lots of outlets in Dolphin, plus a Marshalls and a Burlington for the cheap stuff.

They're shite....lot of expensive names, but it's really quite grotty in the few I've been in and their bogs are no better than a McD's at a motorway service station

Have you spent a summer down there yet? Jeans?
It's weird, because just the other day I was having a daydream back to my time in the Caribbean and remembering a tourist walking through the village in jeans and cowboy boots and all I could think was 'how on Earth is he coping?!' . We didn't even wear shoes there..

The Guayabera is a staple for a good reason!

PS: that's not what DH is after, but thanks for the tip about Guayabera World!

It's almost unbearable wearing jeans today in NJ. No sun but the temps are well into the 70's...but it's so very humid...my clothes are sticking to me.

Jeans are fine down here, just as long as they aren't too heavy. They are the only thing that is almost totally mossie proof

O just shut it, you. I almost posted yesterday in the weather thread to whine about our stormy day. It's lovely sunshine today, but cooooool.
