Hi there! Does anyone know the cheapest way of moving stuff from UK to US? No heavy
stuff (apart from pc), mostly clothes (well i AM a woman :) Just wondering about the
most economical way to do this. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I just shipped my stuff off last Friday, (I'm flying wednesday). I did have some
heavy stuff tho (a load of CD's and books) . I sent 6 tea chest size boxes (4.5 cu ft
each), to Baltimore for £445 by sea door to door. Sea stuff is measured by volume and
air is measured by weight. Sea is cheaper, but obviously takes longer. What I should
do is phone round a few places to get an idea. I used a company called excess baggage
(www.excess-baggage.com)

I've got these people down already in my favourites list... they have baggage shops
in London railway stations with loads of literature. It normally takes about three to
eight weeks or so, I hear... let me know how your stuff gets on because I'll give
them a try if I get a happy voice.

Many thanks Paul. I've checked out the website and the prices look competetive. Still
shopping around but they look good.
