Default Shipping Part-Container - Dorset to Colorado

Hello!

Looking to ship approx 1/3 of a container to Colorado from north Dorset, at the moment been quoted nearly £1000 and 10-14 weeks.

Also they've asked for a copy of the recepiant passport - is this usual?

Phil

That all sounds right to me, but then I've only shipped once myself. Cost, timescale and sight of passport are all about right.
There will be US customs form as well, also marine insurance.

All sounds about right.

Probably cubic feet, else you won't get much in!

Budget for some unexpected and unpredictable Customs fees, plus any insurance you need (typically about 3% of cost IIRC). Check who does the US end.

Sounds about right....especially for a none east coastal destination.

It'll always take longer when you're sharing a container as they wait to fill it.

No worries on timeline as I won't actually have my K1 until at least April, so it fits that it arrives in May.

I was more concerned that the price was about right.
