Shipping from NYC to London -options.
I feel like I am on the edge of some hard decisions.
I have a Studios worth of furniture I would like to consider bringing back from NYC to London.
I am in no hurry at all - 2 months transport time is fine.
I feel I could either just use Excess Baggage or some such and ship my clothes, my books, golf clubs and other smaller belongings, these would be about 18 cu ft, and seemingly still cost me about $500.
I could then sell all my other belongings.
Or I could use a shared container, and ship about 120 cu ft of stuff, and therefore take my plasma TV, rugs, double mattress, small coffee table, small sofa and a few other things. This seems like it would cost me about $1400.
Is my maths about right?
Are there other options?
Are there other things to consider?

Looks like you have most angles covered.
I assume that the TV is fairly new and can be made to work on 240v 50Hz mains? ... If not it's probably not worth shipping.
Also the mattress- is it a US standard size? ... If so you'd better ensure you have sufficient sheets for the expected life of the mattress.
