Default sharing a cabin on cruise to UK

I am looking to return to UK from Ft Lauderdale, Florida to Southhampton in April 2016. There are no cabins for singles as everything is double occupancy.

Is there any female in sharing a cabin and splitting the cost about $800 - $1200 depending on type of cabin.

Celebrity Silhouette from Ft Lauderdale April 10, Lisbon , Vigo, Le Harve, Southampton.

No funny business, after all I am British ! I am 65, a retired school teacher, safe as houses.

This would probably make a great pitch for a sit-com.

I think one or other of the cruise lines did a service whereby single cruisers needing or wanting to share a cabin were matched up to someone similar. Don't know if that is still done. Try "Cruise Critics", they might have a more up to date answer on that and what your particular cruise line does.

Wouldn't it just!

Maybe the OP could take notes during the trip and publish it later?

Thanks.

Norwegian has some single cabins at around 1.5 the double price. But need to go in April.

Given the fact that you are asking for a female to share with, perhaps it would be appropriate for you to say which sex you are as it isn't indicated by either a male or female symbol on your username.
