Sent your I-130/I-485 around July 30, 2007..?

Wanted to dedicate this thread for an estimate of the processing timelines (receipt, approval..etc) of I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 applications that were mailed right before/around the July 30, 2007 fee increase. This will possibly provide an idea of "delays" due to the July 30 rush and "quickening", if any, in processing times that has resulted from the increased fees.

Mine:
I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 to Chicago Lockbox (for TSC/south carolina)
Mailed: 28 July, 2007
Delivered: 30 July, 2007

Please give your district office in your response. As that is the deciding factor in the timeline for AOS. Added by the Moderator ... Rete

khai ko,
the only answers that will have any relevance to each other are those who are using the same District Office and filed at roughly the same time.

Even though all family based AOS applications are sent to the same address, they are adjudicated by the geographically designated local office for each applicant.

Hi Khai Ko,

You might be able to compare EAD and AP timelines this way, but not the adjudication of the I-485. That is done by your local district office, so you should mention what that is, and only compare using people who are going through that same office.

Best Wishes,
Rene

My husband & I married 6/13/07 while he was on his third visit to me house since 2/07. It was not planned; he came with very little in his 2 suitcases. We acted on a whim and were somewhat ignorant of the immigration/marriage issues. Anyway, it's done and he was able to handle his finances/job/housing etc. from the U.S. through his sisters, solicitor, financial advisor, emails, faxes, and on and on.

We hired an attorney & the I-130/I-485/I-864EZ/I-765 were mailed out 7/18/07.

We did not apply for advance parole....our attorney advised it may be a waste of money if my husband had already taken care of his business matters, because we may get the AOS interview before AP approval. He said if an emergency came up and he needed to get back to England then he could possibly get emergency approval a little faster but it would still be some time.

The ASC appintment notice for the biometrics came in the mail 8/10/07. His appt. is for 8/27/07.

I'll keep you updated.

There is no such thing as "approval a little faster" when it comes to AP, and it usually takes 3 months to get... at a minimum. If your husband leaves the US without AP you may as well get used to the idea of starting the entire immigration process over again and him remaining outside the US until he gets a new visa. If your attorney advised him to not apply for AP when he had the opportunity (and it was a lot less expensive than it is now)... well, that was just plain stupid. I sure hope your husband doesn't have a family emergency in England next week that requires him to be there! We see it all the time in this forum... and, sadly, USCIS has no compassion in such matters.

We know all about him not being able to leave the U.S. w/o AP. If he had applied for AP and had an emergency next week in England, he still would not be able to go due to the fact that it takes at least 3 months to obtain and in many recetn cases is approved close to the interview date. He did not need AP...he has no reason to go back, so why apply for it. And you CAN get emergency approval before receipt of the I-131 where an emergency arises prior to receipt by NBC of the I-131, the district office may accept and process the I-131 in emergent situations.

And by the way, that was not the focus of my reply....my reply was to start a timeline.

tamms,
Your timeline information is meaningless to others without knowing the District (Local) Office.

You can find your District Office here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?ac...office_type=LO

apologies.. misread the question... thought you wanted approximate dates for all USCIS applications.

Thought the I-765 was relevant... could be very wrong

It's OK, the information will be useful to someone, I'm sure. I think the OP was mainly interested in the I-765 as it pertains to being filed along with an AOS application.
