Sending Money Home
Anyone got any idea what the cheapest way to send money back to the UK is ?
I need to send money from my US bank account to UK Bank Account. Only 100 bucks a month but Bank of America charge a 45 dollar fee. |

Yup XETrade is the best way to go, IIRC it's an $18 fee.

Re: Sending Money Home
Sending small amouts like that is ludicrous ..either send it a quarterly
or a riskier $100 note in an envelope .. |

I still pay a Barclaycard Visa in the UK and will continue to do so for too many years miss spent youth :scared: Anyway I get a Western Union Money order made up and Mum pays it into my bank account in the UK and I then transfer it online to B/C. Get a relative or friend to pay it in for you :) |
Re: Sending Money Home
I use PayPal to send a regular payments back to my ex-wife in the UK. Works well for us. On small transactions (sub £500 a month I seem to recall) the recipient doesn't pay a fee, so the amount I send is the amount they get. Also I can select an amount in pounds sterling rather than trying to work out the ever changing exchange rate each month. The transfer is instant, but takes 3 to 5 days to get from PayPal.co.uk to her bank account (she can spend it instantly online if she doesn't want to withdraw it).
