Just got the last 2 weeks in May from CID to LHR for $1100 for me, Mrs Z and baby Z. This is via ORD, and what's weird is that the flight from ORD to LHR is $5 more than from CID. Not that I'm complaining mind.
The downside is I have to fly with United.

Lots of fares on sale now, but as of now go off by the end of this month. Doesn't mean they won't come up again, but no telling when, in my experience.

Does anyone know why the same flight on the same dates from London, end of June to end of July to Charleston and back costs almost half the price ($1379 total) for 1 adult and 2 kids compared to leaving from CHS going to London where the cost is around $2500 and up?

I can't really help but my experience it wasalways cheaper for my parents to visit me and my family in NJ during the summer than us visiting London. We always visited during Spring or Autumn for the best deals.
