Re: Scorpions
Hubby would like to take a cruise to Alaska...but I'd rather go somewhere without snow and ice. From what I've heard the cruises are spectacular.

Re: Scorpions
Have to say I'm somewhat confused by this thread.
I've lived in Texas for 7 years now, and I've never seen a scorpion in the house. And I've never seen a black widow or brown recluse anywhere.
I've also never seen a gun in a public place.
Possibly it's time for an appointment with the optometrist. I may be back here next week asking what Obamacare options there are for the legally blind.

It's bad enough that daughter #2 wants to stay every night at her dad's, which is depriving me of seeing my child. :-( I'm guessing I'm going to have to do the flea bomb.
I think y'all grew up a bit soft... in Texas, insects are pets! I will actually take most of them outside rather than kill them. I've yet to meet a bug I couldn't handle, and as for the cats.... the MALE cat does nothing, but the females will kill anything. They tag-teamed a red wasp that was stupid enough to come indoors - likely for water since it's been hot with no rain.

Re: Scorpions
We spoke to various pest exterminators in the past when we first had them in the house (we built a new house and apparently they hide in the bricks of a new build) but everyone said that these things are virtually impossible to kill with chemicals (they are hard enough to kill with a shoe!).

Maybe we should move in with Uncle Ray during the winter months.
