Default School Education comparison..

Hi,

Are there any Brits who have moved to the USA with their children who had been attending a public primary school in Scotland?

If those children have been enrolled to a public school in the USA, how does the quality of education compare, like for like?

Thanks

Plenty of threads.

But, all meaningless unless you say where you're moving too.

50 different states, 50 different standards...and then also depends on the county and town the school is in.

As funding is down to property taxes, one school can be amazing, but the school down the street which is on another catchment area can be completely dire.

I don't know if you saw the responses to your previous thread on the same subject (as you never came back to it to respond or say thanks, so I assume not).

Here it is for info - http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=731682

Well our school system in a small town in Maine is better than the rubbish comprehensive in Macclesfield that the kids would be at otherwise.

I'm not sure that helps you much though?
