Naples is beautiful! I agree with taking time to appreciate Florida and not worry about what you are missing back in the UK coz it will be a culture shock. I have to say the one thing that really bothers me about Florida (besides the humidity which bothers my asthma and my hair!!!) is spending half my life in a car to get anywhere!

I have never visited Florida either .... but I am really only just feeling really at home here (I'm living in Arkansas) after 8 months. Although the cultures seem very similar, I found it hard to not have anyone who could really relate to my experience of moving here. That is getting better every day. I am not trying to say I have been unhappy, but moving here after 43 years of living in the UK was still rather a jolt.
