scared...moving to florida October!!!
We will be moving to Florida (Naples) in October this year with hubby's job, is there any members than can give me any idea on what everyday life will be like in Florida...I do feel bit nervous about it and would like to make friends pretty quick there...

think its the hummidity thats gonna kill me!!!! got lots of jumpers, woolley knickers, soxs, hats to get rid of...anyone whos travelling to alaska interested in job lot.?

I haven't either, have visited Buffalo several times and Phoenix, Boston once and Savannah twice.

Hey i have been to florida before but only 2 orlando like most of us brits ..... done the disney fing and all that !!!
Been to Miami for day but thats all
Worried now about me hair......like it to be straight (use straighteners) but now think that its gonna look like ball of frizz... OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Get ready to slow down. Things take a lot longer to get done down here. We live in Sarasota, but we visit Naples often. It will take you a while to get used to the more relaxed way of life. Don't worry about your hair, because you will have pulled it all out after about a month - just kidding. We love it here. It will take some adjusting but I am sure you will enjoy your new life in Paradise!
