Russell Hobbs kettle

My 20 year old Russell Hobbs kettle has died.
It has undergone minor and major surgery in the past
but this time could not be resucitated even after been put
on life-support. Having done a quick "Google" search I find
it impossible to buy one here in Houston.
Does anyone know of a retailer in US where I can purchase
a replacemen (stainless steel, automatic shut-off)????
Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
A small family ceremony was held for the old one, flowers
need not be sent!!!

how did you get your RH kettle to work in the USA?

anyhoooo ... I know the Stash Tea Catalogue sells electric kettles. search google for 'tea catalogue' online. I think stash is at www.stashtea.com but I'm not 100% sure.

I have a 10 year old Kenwood 110v (Exact copy of R. Hobbs) still going strong. But can't seem to find it on the WEB. Originally from J&R.

We got our kettle (not a Russel Hobbs) from QVC www.qvc.com , may be worth a look out there. I have since resulted to using a stove top "whistling" kettle as it boils much faster.

Whistling kettle? Very nostalgic.
Speed, they now sell the Braun etc, with the rapid boil (big steel plate element inside). Sounds like a rocket ship , when it boils.
Enjoy the tea.

Re: Russell Hobbs kettle

I too lost a Kettle after three wonderful years and cannot come up with a replacement (Sniff)
It was a Kettle I bought from Walmart that was electric but had a whistle instead of an automatic Shut off, I thought it was so quaint :(
will continue my search and I will let you know if I find anything.

Don't know if you have Bed Bath and Beyond in Houston but I bought a nice chrome kettle there http://www.cuisinart.com/cgi-bin/pro....pl5?index=Tea cost me around $74 but it is so nice to have. My new in laws think I am weird for spending money on an item to boil water when it can be done in a microwave. They just don't understand... Its a british thing.

Hope this helps

Cathy
