Yup, it make a difference. It's DOCSIS 1.0 which I haven't seen for ages. I think that may be the modem I purchased from comcast (special deal) in early 2000's that I threw away a long time ago. I believe it has a maximum upload speed of 500 Kb/s.

I was just looking online fot details on it. Surprised its still for sale TBH even if its only 40$.
Is there anything in the configuration I can do to make things run a little smoother until I can get to the TWC store?

Make sure they supply you with a dual band 802.11n router and not a single band router (I don't believe the single band router has the high wi-fi speeds needed). With the amount of computers and other things you have attached via wi-fi, you really need a router with the 5 GHz band. However there will still be a bottleneck on the cable modem because it can only feed the cable so fast so if everyone is downloading or playing online video games, they will bog down.
