Roomshare websites
Hi all,
I am moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina in August and to begin with I would like to rent in shared accommodation with someone. In the UK we have spareroom or easyroommate. Other than craigslist are there other room mate websites specific for the USA?
Thanks in advance!

I would also check if there are any Facebook groups for Fayetteville and ask on there.

I don't know how widespread their coverage, but there are also some 'roommate matchmaker'-type apps. They feed from your FB, etc. which is not my cup of tea, so I've never tried them.
AirBnB is not set up for long-term roommate arrangements. Apart from being a weird, transactional house dynamic, it would also be cost prohibitive.

I would be concerned about using AirBnb as a Host for long term booking due to the lack of protection but I know people who do it, once you go over a month their long term booking condition kick in.

All of this is good advice.
There is a university there, are you going for study? If so the university may have some resources.
When I was a graduate student I used Craigslist twice for roommates. The first time, the house ended up being bad, but the roommates good. The second time, the house was good, and the roommate weird. I preferred the former to the latter.

Certainly my daughter's university has their own FB group for flatmate searches. You must be university student to belong to the group obviously.
I would also look on meetup.co or FB for a Brit expat group and ask on there if anyone has a room they rent out.
