Default The Right to Bear Arms affirmed

Not the right to arm bears.

But in case you haven't heard, the court ruled 5-4 that the Right to Bear Arms is an individual right, striking down a handgun ban in DC.

Time to buy some kevlar.

Apparently there will be many lawsuits - they were poised for this decision. Suing the city of Chicago I believe - we'll see.

lol kevlar indeed - this probably doesn't change much for most of the country, just the places with restrictive ordinances.

“We start therefore with a strong presumption that the Second Amendment right is exercised individually and belongs to all Americans.”

Nothing like starting with an open mind.

The presumption WOULD be that constitutional rights belong to each American.

It would be a scary thing indeed if our supreme court would not start with that presumption.

'Belonging to' is not necessarily the same as 'exercising individually'. And that's just the beginning of the hang up. Oh well, won't change anything around here....

ok, misunderstood what part you were objecting to.

I do personally agree with their decision though, for what that's worth.
