Returning to UK but working for US company
It seems like we are going to repatriate to the UK this summer.
My wife works for a non-profit and they want to keep her and are happy that she work remotely. As far as I see, this is relatively straightforward i.e. - She would transition from being an employee to a consultant and be paid based upon an agreed monthly fee. Her company creates no taxable presence in the UK - She would not continue to receive any benefits (health, pension etc) from the company and would not be liable for US taxes - She would declare foreign earned income to HMRC and be taxed accordingly Are there any flaws here? |

She is a US citizen - how is she not liable for US income taxes?

Ah, mea culpa - I made an assumption rather than ask for missing information. :o
And she's not a PR, or if she is she intends to abandon her status? Regards, JEff
