Retiring in the US

Is it possible to just retire in the US? My husband has several good pensions (stockmarket willing) organised for a couple of years time and the value of our house would keep me in shoes for a while, so we wouldn't be a drain on the US economy.

There is no visa for retires. You would have to get a visitor visa, and return
regularly to your home country.

It is no longer possible. At one time there was a visa for retirees.
