Default Restaurants in San Francisco

We will be going to SF in May for 3 days, staying near Fisherman's Wharf. We don't really want to go to the tourist trap restaurants at FW. Is there any reasonably priced ($20-$30) starter/main or main/dessert in the area or a short taxi ride away? Hoping that someone that lives or works there will be able to give us some ideas. We like most types of food, just not so fond of Mexican and DH is not fond of fish/seafood. Thanks in advance.

Have a look at my recent thread on San Francisco - I was given a lot of tasty suggestions, although it's still not booked. Hubby is trying to talk me into Las Vegas. We have been to both and now can't decide where we want to go.

We ate in some great neighborhood restaurants in Russian Hill which were much cheaper than most places in the city tourist areas.

We stayed at the Hyatt in FW, and even with our 7 year old found it a pleasant walk there and back, about 30 mins each way.

This is pretty much my favourite restaurant in SF... on the western edge of Russian Hill, tucked away from the tourist crowds:

This is in the same area but pricier:

There are also a whole bunch of somewhat cheaper options on Polk St north of Broadway.

Be aware that North Beach is also something of a tourist trap, though less so than Fisherman's Wharf.
