Hi all,

Could anyone recommend some good websites to look at for rental properties... The equivalent to something like rightmove in the UK. So far I've been looking on Zillow.

Also, how easy is It going to be for me to get a rental apartment - I won't have any credit in the US when I move over??

Are there many furnished properties available to rent like there can be in the UK?

I've been in Valencia for 2 and a half years. I stayed in the Extended Stay America hotel in Newhall for a few weeks to give me chance to have a look around.

I can really recommend the Montecito Apts which are right by the valencia mall, gym, restaurants, cinema etc. I love it there. I didn't see anything furnished when I was looking but I only looked at apartment buildings.

You'll need a reference from your previous place ( they just called the UK for mine ), proof of your salary and first months rent plus a months deposit. It's a long slow road to build up credit. I can give you more info on that if you need it.

I think my company arrange pre visits before the big move so that could be one less thing to worry about!

Funny you mention Montecito Apts as I've saved these in my favourites on rent.com! Also like the look of the IMT Valencia Apts. Could you recommend any good websites to look at?

Not really. I just googled 'Apartments Valencia CA' and went from there.
