Renting
HI. Quick question.
Is it possible to rent apartments/houses without a credit rating? We wont have a rating on arrival but need to rent a place. What would be the best way of going about this? We are currently set to spend 2 weeks in a motel and I dont want to make it more than that :-( thanks - G |

Bring a history of your finances from the UK to show your are decent, and (important) a letter from your new employer saying you have a job and your salary is this. If you sit down with the landlord, they'll tell you what can and cannot be done. If you call them on the phone and get an assistant, they'll just say 'no, we can't help you' just to be done with you. Good luck p.s. craigslist.com is a MUST for rentals. Many private party / no credit check rentals. |
Re: Renting
Another thought is if finances allow, offer to put up 6 months rent in advance, this is what we did. It all worked out fine!
