Removing conditions of visa/moving simultaneously.....

Hi guys

My 2 yr anniversary in the lovely USA is coming up on 7 Jan, and I have got nearly everything ready to send off to remove the conditions.....however, I have just been okayed for my transfer to South Carolina, which will occur in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Will sending off the I751 info 3 or 4 weeks before my 2 yr anniversary be enough time?

I am planning on sending it all off as soon as I find a place in SC, and just wanna make sure I won't get any shit from the USDHS......

You have a 90 day window prior to the expiration date on your green card in which to file the I-751 and accompanying documents.

As long as you file before those 90 days are up I'm sure it wouldn't matter exactly when you file.

Has it really been that long since you first came over? Blimey - it doesn't seem like that long ago!! :D

Make sure you keep them up to date with your address. Hopefully SC uses the same service center as FL to keep the mess under control.

BTW, you absolutely DO want to send it in before the 2 year ani.

Just checked and, yes, they do! :)

Like AP says make sure they definitely know of the new address, (use forms AR11 and I-865 and double check that your new address is on file once the forms have been received).

Well you don't have a visa to take conditions off of and you are not dealing with some agency initialed USDHS but the USCIS.

Yes, you can mail your I-751 to the service center as long as it is received there by the expiration date on your green card. Not one day pass it, however.

And just to be sure, you are not talking about your second wedding anniversary are you?

There is a US Marriage Based Visas forum/newsgroup on BE. You should read and search in there for info....
