Remember, Remember the 5th of November
Boo Hoo
It's the 400th anniversary of the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament today and family and friends back home in Blighty are planning to go to bonfire parties tonight. There is always an enormous bonfire at the local village pub and a wonderful fireworks display and lots of baked potatoes, sausages and hot chocolate eaten outside. Wish I was there.....
This is the nearest I'll get to any sparklers tonight - there's a virtual one here LOL!

There's also a really cute 'pets' game where you have to save the pets running away from the fireworks.....

I've been wondering if I could get away with a bonfire on the beach here - private fireworks are apparently illegal. Might have to settle for a BBQ.
Its still 80F here so it won't be the same as freezing them off in Blighty.
Anyone ever had a good event here in US?
The sparkler game was cool :-) (for 10 seconds!!)

24 pets
I think they have a burn ban around here, so I guess I'd have to build a fire in my bbq pit

Right at this very moment my best friend in the UK is having her usual bonfire and fireworks party, there are probably about 30 friends and their kids there now and I feel really left out.
