Registering my US marriage (Vegas) in a foreign country

I posted earlier that the italian consulate won't let me have my italian
passport until I register my marriage. They are requesting the following:

1 - Certified copy of Long Form of Certificate of Matrimony;
2 - Certified copy of Long Form of License of Matrimony if marriage took
place in Nevada or New Mexico;

3 - "APOSTILLE" issued by the "Secretary of State" of the state in which the
marriage took place

I got married in Vegas. I know I have to send out all the paperwork soon so
I might get it back in time for my interview. I don't want to mess up.
Could someone PLEASE explain to me what I have to do? Or does someone know
of a website with step-by-step instructions???

Thanks.

I did just post this in a reply to you yesterday.
But, here it is again:

http://www.co.clark.nv.us/recorder/APOST.HTM

It includes information on getting faster response from the Secretary of
State.

The phone number for the Clark County Recorder's Office is 1 702 455
4336

Yeah... I did see it. The problem is that I need to send in the certified
marriage certificate to the Secretary of State. I know there is an internal
way to do it, i.e., have the Clark County Recorder to forward the marriage
certificate to the Secretary of State. I am not sure what I have to send in
to do this.

Re: Registering my US marriage (Vegas) in a foreign country

If you have the marriage certificate in your possession, then you can
send it directly to the Secretary Of State. If not, then the faster way
is to get the Clark County recorder to send it directly to the S of
State.

Do you have a certified copy you can send? If so, then just send it as
the fee, $20, $70, or $120 to:

Secretary of State
101 North Carson Street, Suite 3
Carson City, Nevada 89701-4786
