Do you know of anyone who has tried to reenter the USA after they overstayed on a pervios I-94. Did they make it in?

the rule of thumb is that after any overstay with the Visa Waiver, you are barred from ever using it again.

Anything is possible. The problem is that a lot of these issues become discretionary - i.e., the immigration officer gets to decide, so you hope he's had his coffee for the day, and that he's not in divorce proceedings......
