Very interesting. I am going to be intrigued by the answers of those Brits who are avowed Democrats, equating to Socialist or Liberal politics in the UK.. To my recollection that has been the summation of the British Electoral system for as many years as I can remember with the elected party not having achieved the majority vote but having acquired enough seats. I stand to be corrected but if this is not the case then it has been a very rare. It's called democracy(????).

My politics are left of American Democrat, when I told my step son this, he couldn't figure it out and gave me this horrified look as if I was a communist (I'm not by the way) :D
