Default Recommendations of US Tax Accountant

Hi!

We (USC and UKC) moved from the UK to Florida in July. We had a tax accountant we used when we lived in the UK, who we were hoping would help us file tax returns for this year (as it's gonna be a bit complicated - house sale in the UK, income over there and then income over here). But our previous accountants turned out to not be very helpful after all, so we are on the hunt for a new accountant.

Can any of you recommend an accountant who would understand that process (FBAR's etc.) and who won't cost us the Earth?

Many thanks!

If you are anywhere St Augustine, PM and I can tell you who not to use.

Not much use if any talking to the IRS IMHO, they told me that ‘live advice’ is no longer available.

Pete Newton at BritishExpatsTax is great. Though not sure if he's taking new clients currently.

Thanks - I'll pm you. We are in Tampa, but are in St Augustine a lot (with family), so that might work out well.
