Are the bad times really over or are we just being told this to start us spending again, is silicon valley really paying lots of people off, is the construction industry the only one still doing well?

The 7.1% increase is good in the economic figures, however one cannot get carried away.
Also with Xmas and thanksgiving coming up, we might see decent figures again in the next quarter.
It is in the right direction.
The country will be on an upswing all of 2004 with the DOW hitting 11000 in November 2004.
November 2004................hmmmmm orchestrated?

The companies have the upper hand, I was speaking to recruiter the other day and he said companies used to look for 50% ability on the resume now they are looking for 90% (and have the choice to get it). Relocation packages are very few and far between - companies are saying if you want the job you can get here!
Construction is booming, everything else is just steady but with that lunatic in the white house who knows whats going to happen next?

And lets not forget that at some point we will have to pay the $900 billion to for the illegal war in Iraq

The good news is that the companies no longer seem to be laying off workers in the amounts they where. The bad news is that no-one is really hiring yet either.

I have a few interviews for senior construction posts later this month and was just wondering.
Thank you!
