Recent UK Passport renewal times
Anyone renewed their UK passport recently? I am just about to send mine off via UPS...I need it back by the second week of January.

Sent 26 March, everything back here by 10 april. My neighbour sent his off a week ago and has just got email with tracking number for returning new passport!

Ours were just under 3 weeks including postage outside of the UK in September.

Oct/Nov. 2 x first passports for the kids. Three weeks turn around as I omitted a document - the rules changed after I downloaded the packet.

I submitted mine via a UK Post Office yesterday. I was told "3 weeks".

I somehow managed to miss that in the guidance note and only sent a colour photocopy of the photo page of my and my wife's passport. The documents got delivered on Monday 30 Nov and the Status on the website went up to "Declaration for received, being processed" yesterday with Action as "Not available." Really hoping it would be fine as we are looking forward to travelling to see family over Xmas!

Hi Ozzidoc, quick question - did you have to send your original passport along with the application? Let me know, please!
