Received employment authorization
My employment authorization came through today; I filed the AOS/petition back in February.
I was surprised to find the work authorization expires in a year rather than a few months.
Not that I need it yet anyway as I'm on an L1 visa.

...and I don't need mine either, since I'm on an H1-B... but it's still nice to have in my hands

Congratulations to both of you who got your EADs - even though apparently you do not need them
Next time you have $$$ to burn let me know and I'll let you know of an appropriate charitable cause

Toon got his green card today -- 2.5 weeks from "landing." And he got his driver's licence this morning so now all that is left (for now) is the SSN.

Certainly all of this costs $$$, but I'm glad to say that it's my wonderfully supportive company that covers all that. My job is just to get enormously stressed about the whole thing, and storm around the place demanding that things be done to make the immigration application go quicker!
