Uh... i think it said in the past five years?? so that can narrow it down some. If I'm wrong just answer the best you can remember. I dont think they lock you up if you honestly forget something? I never even updated my green card. still has my five year old pic on it. Oh well if they want to deport me, i'll fly for free!

Just out of curiosity. I was born in Europe, but can't for the life of me ever imagine living in my country of birth (though there are many who do, including many on this forum ). I lived there for my first two years before moving to the colonies, and then for another year or so at age 7, so can't really remember it that well, excepting for vacations spent there over the years.

Odd that your GC has such an outdated picture. I just obtained my 10 yr GC and I had to submit new photos for that.

Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders) use re-entry permits to re-enter the U.S. after travel of one year or more. For LPR’s returning to the U.S., re-entry permits are generally valid for two years from the date of issuance of the re-entry permit. The LPR should apply for this benefit before leaving the U.S.

Warning: you could lose PR status the very day you leave. It is your intentions that matter not just the period of time spent out of the US.
