Since you cannot work in the US on a tourist visa at all, this is illegal work, no
matter when you do it. It makes no difference if you started working the day you
arrived in the US or the day before you left. Illegal work is forgiven to US
spouses, so be sure you admit to it - you should have documented it on you INS
forms. Lying or omitting information about illegal work can get you application
