You should read the rest of the issue. For example, "15 Reasons Why Americans Kick Ass" features the brilliant offering of "girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch." It is clear that this reason alone is why the US became the world's only superpower.

May I suggest some of us write to the Generation?

Oh, and seeing as we're in the mood -

An elderly English couple, the wife rather deaf, were visiting New York. They hail a cab and start out on a lengthy journey. It being New York, it isn't long before the driver starts talking.

Driver: You're limeys, aren't you?
Man: Aye, we are.
Wife: What did he say?
M: He asked if we were English and I said we were.
W: Ah.

D: I was in England, during the war.
M: Oh aye.
W: What did he say?
M: He said he was in England during the war.
W: Ah.

D: I was in Burnley, in Lancashire. You know it?
M: Yes, that's where we come from.
W: What did he say?
M: He said he was in England during the war - near Burnley.
W: Ah.

D: Do you know a patch of woodland just south of Burnley?
M: Aye, I know it.
W: What did he say?
M: He asked if we knew the woods south of Burnley and I said we did.
W: Ah.

D: You know, it was in those woods, during the war, I had the worst
**** I've ever had in my entire life.
W: What did he say?
M: He says he knows you.

I took the liberty of adding the link to the article Cuckoo refers to;

I thought the writer was taking the mickey until I see he included freedom of religion as to one of the reasons America kicks ass???? isn't that an Oxymoron? His other reasons include;

A porn star - Great role model for you girls
A drunken baseball player - One for the lads
Jeep - because they do one thing and do it well. WRONG! They are part of a huge car making conglomerate

At least he got duct tape right

I live in Edinburgh and I see loads and loads of Americans who give exactly that impression. Who else but an American would ask a tourist guide in Edinburgh where he could find the Eiffel Tower.

Cheers!

Hmmm, last time I looked Westminster CATHEDRAL is an RC building and is Byzantine--perhaps you are confusing it with Westminster ABBEY???? Oh, and I am one of those ignorant 'muricans. BTW, I think some of the comments she made were in reference to other countries and other cities--she did say she travelled elsewhere, did she not?

Indeed! I thought this was another gem:

"If we step in someone’s path in Buffalo, we say “excuse me.” If that happens in London, we keep on walking."

Poor gal clearly has never been to NYC...

As someone who lives in Buffalo I can assure you she is talking out of her pie hole.

Besides, this is America. Nobody "walks" anywhere.
