quick question about money orders
hi all,
never having used these before i am not sure exactly how you go about getting money orders. i need to pay for something by money order, so can i just go in to any bank and hand over $xxx and get a money order made payable to xxxxxxxx? or do i have to go to a bank where i have an account?
sorry about the simple question but i just have no idea and as i don't have a car yet i don't want to be walking miles between places asking in banks etc.....
thanks,
SamJ

I'm pretty sure that any bank will give you a money order (for a fee) regardless of if you have an account with them!

Guess it depends where you live. I bought 2 in one week for similar amounts and the supermarket was half the cost of the one I bought at the PO.

LOL, poor in Florida, yeah right. We have 10 million mexicans to support here, plus half of CA who are on their way as we speak.
