Default Question about EAD

I need some info about the EAD. If you guyz could help me with this, it would be
great.

Following is my question. I applied of I-485 in January 2002 and got my EAD in
April 2002 for about 1 year. I would like to know what options i have if i am
layed of in a couple of months. Am i allowed to stay legally in the US and search
for a new job? What happens to my green card processing?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the I-485 has been pending for six months and you find a new job in the
same field, you should be fine.
