Question

what does it take for a canadian citizen to attain US citizenship. I have a friend who has a girl visiting him from Canada, and she has literally nothing to go back to, no home, no job, and a very unhealthy family situation. She is right now on a three month visa.

Legally immigrate to the US. Live there for some number of years as a
permanent resident, and then apply for US citizenship. The same as a
person from any other country in the world. One way to do this, and the
most common, is to marry an American citizen.
