QM2 Dog place available 16th Oct. Southampton --> New York

I have booked X2 adult places (1 cabin) and X2 kennels (or 1 large kennel) for my boxer dog, for the Atlantic crossing Southhampton to New York on 16th October 2011.

Unfortunately we got news today that our immigration case will not be finalised for at least another 12-18 months, therefore I no longer need the above booking.

If any one is interested, then please let me know.

Thanks for posting this. I know that dog places are few and far between, and booked up way in advance, so it's nice of you to give anyone interested a heads-up.

Perhaps this post should be moved to the 'Moving Back to the UK' forum?

Dont know if this is a stupid question but are you selling the tickets for two adults to travel or are you still travelling so it's just a dog passage?

not a silly question.
i would like to sell the whole package- cabin for 2 and double kennel.
to be honest, a cross atlantic trip on the qm 2 was more for our dogs safety than a holiday for us.

As the cruise is 4 months away...can you not get a refund? I don't about Cunard but most cruise lines give a full refund up to 3 months before sailing.

I believe there are only a few kennels on the QM2 and they are pretty much booked up a year or so in advance. I think that will probably be the reason they booked before the visa was sorted.

we were rather poorly advised and took a gamble
we booked the trip in october 2010, our options were june 2011, october 2011 or december 2012.
the adult price which is transferable but not refundable is £800 each.
dog price, which is refundable is £602.

This sounds about right for Cunard... I originate from Southampton and most of my family worked/work in the port.
Standing comment was in matters like this, was that Cunard were still trying to make for financial losses from the Titanic ... that is why they changed the name from White star lines!
