Pub grub near Gatwick

Hi all,
I'm going to be having a stopover in Gatwick in early August and my Texan boss is going to be with me.
I'd like to take him to a good ol' English pub for meal/drinks somewhere near Gatwick airport.
Not too expensive but not too shabby.

Any ideas??
TIA,
Andy.

Forest Row is a nice village near Gatwick - should appeal nicely to the american view of Olde England!

try this link - or there are plenty of similar places in that area ...

If you have a car? Id head out towards Holmbury St Mary and Peaslake, drive around the country lanes and you are bound to find a nice pub.

I'd try the HUnter's Moon in Copthorne - great food and a pretty good pub - details here:

I think they will run a courtesy car from the airport if you need it too.

Phil,
THAT sounds the right type of place!
That will beat TexMex, burgers and fake Irish pub food anyday!

Thanks!

PS. Thanks to everyone else who answered as well!
