Prospective or perspective ???

Prospective or perspective ???
I'm writing a cover letter and want to include the phrase "prospective employer".
I've just noticed on my cv that i use "perspective employer".
Which of the two is grammatically correct ??
I googled both and that was inclusive.
Despite having used perspective in the past prospective seems to me to be the correct choice now that I've thought about it a bit.
Kind regards

Likely or expected to happen.
Likely to become or be
Perspective is regarding a view or vista, a mental view or outlook.

Interesting though if you google per/prospective employer in google that almost an identical number of matches comes up for both, so its obviously a widely misused phrase.

Good luck with the job application for English teacher, by the way.
