Those prices would only be a little bit more here - say $130k and $200k.

I'm not convinced about 'more opportunities for the kids' either.

Come on. They have the opportunity to run up a six figure debt going to college to qualify for a job someone would get with 3 CSE's (or whatever they are) back in the UK.

Just consider them all to have been added to both the "pro" and "con" lists ... :sneaky:

I'd assumed the OP was UK-based etc. Hence the quote in pounds. I could do it in sprouts but defer to Tonrob on the exchange rate. Last I heard, it was one good sized sprout for a 7 bed, 6 bath, quadruple garage and pool...:p We live in Chandler, just on the southern edge of Phoenix, in AZ, where some parts are headed for the 21st century, and some others are headed to the mid 19th century. Quite confusing really. BTW, does anybody know if Governor Jan Brewer is actually a real witch, or just posing as stunt double? |

Re: Pros/ Cons
One thing I noticed is how widely different house prices are.
We just saw a 5 bed house with 2 bathrooms and 1.5 acres, on the ocean in Bar Harbor of Maine, a really lovely tourist town going for $150K while a 4 bed down the street not on the ocean was $115K Those prices wouldn't get you a garage or a shed down our way. Then again, property taxes up there are in the hundreds per year rather than the thousands per month down here too. |
