Down just a bit...around $2.30. With the mileage I get 20 to 50 cents per gallon does not matter much. Would not drive across the street and wait in line for 2 minutes to save 3 cents per gallon.

I only ever buy gas when I am passing a gas station on my route. I usually plan ahead to where I will buy gas, but it never involves a detour of more than a mile or two, and usually much less than that. If I can save 1c/gal by buying a little sooner, or later, on my journey, it is still worth doing.

Very occasionally I might have to wait for a vehicle to move to make room for me at the pumps, but I wouldn't really call that "waiting in line".

On my way home last night, I was running low and a Shell station en-route was 1.89 but all the pumps were occupied so I decided to continue to Walmart about 8 miles away (they're usually about the same price).

Alas. $1.92.

The best price round our way is $1.86. It was at $2.10-ish not that long ago (up from the $1.90s).

A couple of places have gone down to $1.95G...there's still a pretty decent range of prices though.

Its been stable here but I predict an increase in the coming weeks. The free fall of the CAD$ against the USD$ means higher prices. We are not benefitting from low oil prices.

The price of oil is also in free fall, and likely offsets the collapse in the CAD.

Yesterday I paid $1.899 for BP in the next town (actually 20gal @ $1.699 with loyalty discount) and it was $1.919 locally. By this morning it was $1.899 locally. I will be passing through the next town tomorrow and hope to pick up some gas at an even lower price than I paid yesterday.

I am not sure where oil was a year ago, but we are paying on average more per liter this year then last year at this time, at least in this part of Canada.

Avg last December 1.10/liter today avg is 1.21/liter.

Gas is up 2 cents per liter today from yesterday.

Last year at this time CAD$ was at 0.86 and right now its 0.73 and expected to keep falling through 2016, some estimates into the 0.60 to 0.65 range and this is bad news for consumers, especially for food, and other items imported from the US or traded in USD$.

Also means no visiting family anytime soon, at this rate might be a long time before visits happen again.....

It is if your coming from a country with a good exchange rate...although waiting may benefit as the northern peso is expected to fall into the 65 cent range over 2016.

Good news is we are pretty much on par with Australian dollar, but it's a bit too far for a vacation.....

We can get this for the UK 0.479350 GBP per CAD$
