The Mariner Valley was named after those missions. It is deep, and as long as the US is wide. I think it was a fitting subject for my hyperbole, even if I did mix it up

Ah. I hadn't heard of the Mariner Valley. It's pretty impressive.

It is. A surface feature like that on Earth would probably be the size of Russia

Sadly, there's no petrol in it.

Dam you guys get good prices on gas. You can fill up a SUV for under $20 but not in California.

Man, that's good going! I haven't shopped Kroger for a long time.....last time I did it was 3 cent discount, then 10c every so often when you'd spent so much at the store. How much do you have to spend to get the dollar?

1.06 CAD per liter around here still, the free fall has appeared to stop for now, likely due to the holidays, won't be surprised if the prices go up a bit for Thurs to Sun.

Comes to about 3.45 USD per gallon at current exchange rate.

Takes about 30 dollars to fill our Mazda 2 right now if not completely empty. If completely empty about 40.

I'd rather not know I think! We spend at least $1k/month there I'd say.

Indeed! It's dropped very quickly. Not to long ago it was costing me $80 to fill up my Acadia. Now only $40.

Seems to be running 2.69 to 2.79 in Northern Washington in the stations along the border.

Not even worth going across the border for gas anymore, between the CAD dropping and gas dropping here, the savings is minimal now.

For the 1st quarter of next year, DiscoverCard has 5% cashback at all gas stations. You have to click on that icon to enable 5% cashback on their web site.
