Just heard something on the radio about gas prices dropping long term as the US ramps up production of its own oil - apparently better technology is now making it cost effective to extract oil from more places. Also better technology is increasing the quality and cost effectiveness of alternative forms of energy. Add in the fact that Canada is producing more oil and will continue to be the #1 oil supplier to the US, and it looks like the US dependence on foreign oil is dropping steadily and prices will follow.
Down to $3.53 at the moment, though from up over $3.80 not long ago.

I know the US likes to consider Canada the 51st state, but it is a foreign country

In the mountains in Bali a few years back we were buying petrol in glass bottles from little kids set up with a wooden table at the side of the road ....
I'm guessing Sugarmoomas local gas station is something along those lines..

They used to sell petrol in glass bottles in Belfast as well ...
