Price of gas update...

BUR has two runways. Generally, takeoffs are going south on the long runway while landings are eastbound on the short runway. This landing was too fast on the short runway.

It'd jumped up to $2.189 when I got gas for my leaf blower this afternoon.
I wonder if this is the week they close the refineries to switch them over to producing winter grade gas? There is always a week aroud this time of year when the price of gas spikes.

It is high around here at $1.89 and upwards. That's why when Sam's was selling for $1.61, I filled up my car with all of nearly 9 gallons

Re: Price of gas update...
Went down a bit to 1.09 per liter. Notice diesel is below a dollar at 99.7 cents per liter.
There was a public inquiry into gas prices last year after hitting all time highs pushing 1.70 liter in some areas, and the inquiry basically found that there is no functioning competitive market in gasoline, BC gas market is a oligopoly that behaves as a monopoly and that while only 5% of gas is imported from the US, that 5% is the driving factor of the wholesale price.
So was no surprise to consumers, we already knew it was basically a monopoly, doesn't take an expert to see, the evidence was apparently on the signs in front of the gas stations with every station offering the same price, with the occasional station being 1 cent less.
