Apparently the conversion factor is 2.84, if you're interested. So 99.9c/L Canadian is $2.84/gal US as near as makes no odds. That's only 10c more than gas is by me right now, which seems really good for Canadian prices.

Yes, because CAD is weak at the moment - which makes Canada cheap for Americans, but doesn't help Canadians at all, because things imported/priced in USD become more expensive when CAD weakens, and the global price for oil is in USD. In other words, if CAD was stronger, oil and therefore petrol, would be even cheaper.

Doesn't help me at all, but it's nice they can get some cheaper gas for a while anyway.

Noticed last night it had dropped another 3 cents per gallon. Now at $2.28

Well that too, but I meant vague and subject to more than one possible meaning. .... So I looked to see if there was a hurricane brewing in the Gulf (of Mexico).

You don't know? I was expecting this day to come, but perhaps not so soon.

There isn't one that I can see but the radar does show rain. Hurricane season has started though, so that is subject to change of course.

Yeah the exchange rate sucks. Makes life more expensive, especially food since so much of it comes from the US.

My banks website shows the current rate they are offering as 1 CAD = 0.74 US$

How much is a 12 pack of Molson Canadian these days? It was $32.00 give or take last time I was north of the Maple Curtain. American beer was upwards of $50.00

WTF! I can get a twelve pack of craft beer for $13.99 (CAD18.60) + sales tax, so just about $15 gross.

I can get a 12 pack of Modelo for about $12.00 at my local Walmart, but on the other hand I'm not going to not drink in Canada either. That was half of the point of going up there in the first place
